Application and Interview Process
Application Procedure
Students who wish to apply for admission to the McNair program should submit a
completed application, as well as the following:
A completed application including:
- A personal statement discussing his/her career goals
- An official college transcript
- Two letters of recommendation, one of which must be from a faculty
member in your major
- A copy of his/her most recent tax forms (state & federal).
Upon submission your application will be carefully considered. If you are
selected as an appropriate McNair Fellowship candidate you will be placed on
our waiting list.
When a slot becomes available, the coordinator will contact you to set up an
appointment for an interview.
Application Deadline
The McNair Program has a "rolling" application deadline,
in which available slots for Fellows and Fellows-In-Training
are filled as Fellows graduate and fellows -In-Training are
promoted to Fellows status. Applications are available
in our office located in the Science Building second floor,
